The heavy shotgun in Fortnite made its long-awaited return to the game in February after the release of v19.20 update. The gun spent over two years in the vault and is now back in the game.
Originally introduced in March 2018, The Heavy Shotgun made its way to Fortnite with the v3.3.1 update and has since became the go-to shotgun when it comes to longer-range fights.
It’s a fantastic choice for damaging structures as well, so much that its damage to structures was decreased a couple months back, but it still packs quite the punch. Epic vaulted the Heavy Shotgun in January 2019, but it was temporarily unvaulted for two weeks of Summer event and the Spy Games LTM.
Where is the New Heavy Shotgun in Fortnite Chapter 3?
However, the Heavy Shotgun is back, and this time it’s been updated to include the multiple target penetration, a feature which the previous version had as well.
So if you’re seeking out the Heavy Shotgun, you can find it on the ground when roaming about, in chests when scavenging in various locations, and you can also get it from Supply Drops if you can get to a drop on time before another player beats you to it.
The Heavy Shotgun also comes in various type rarities such as Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, and Legendary rarities. The newest version of the weapon is surprisingly better at long range compared to the previous version. And according to Epic, it “requires more accuracy.”
