Sonic Origins is the ultimate collection of Sonic’s rise to fame, as it features all the mainline Sega Genesis games. Sonic Origins features the original games mostly untouched, save for a few musical differences. For the die-hard fans, Sega also offers the “Classic Music Pack” as paid DLC, which gives you access to some classic tunes. Today, we’ll show you how to get the Sonic Origins Classic Music Pack!
How to Get the Sonic Origins Classic Music Pack
Before we start, you should know one important thing about the Classic Music Pack: it does not override the background music during game play. The Classic Music Pack is a literally a pack of songs from classic Sonic the Hedgehog games that you can enjoy in the sound test mode, but you cannot switch out the existing music during the games.
To purchase the Classic Music Pack DLC, you need to go to your respective platform’s store page and purchase it there. The Classic Music Pack is 3.99 USD across all platforms. Here are the store links for your convenience:
Once you’ve purchased the pack, it should download automatically. If you currently have the game open, make sure to close and restart it, otherwise it won’t detect the DLC pack.
With the Classic Music Pack installed, you should now have a new option in the extras menu of the game. You can listen to remastered tracks from past Sonic the Hedgehog games, and enjoy them with enhanced audio!

With that said, there are some naming errors with this pack. If you’re a big Sonic fan, and you know the music by heart, you’ve probably noticed that some tracks are mislabeled. It can be quite confusing, and Sega hasn’t commented about the matter yet. Hopefully an update will take care of it.
