How to Get Trevenant in Pokémon Go

How to Get Trevenant in Pokémon Go

Last year’s Halloween Event in Pokémon Go saw the addition of two new Pokémon called Trevenant and Phantump. Both were introduced in the initial Pokémon X and Y and the only way to evolve Phantump into Trevenant is by trading with another player. While the method remains the same, the developers have added a slight twist to it. In this article, we will explain how players can get Trevenant in Pokémon Go.

How to Get Trevenant in Pokémon Go

This Ghost and Grass-type creature can only be acquired by evolving or trading. Basically, you either need to catch a Phantump and evolve it into Trevenant or find a friend who is willing to trade them one and cost both parties a decent amount of Stardust. You can catch Phantump in the wild or wait for it to come back in random rotation.

There’s a chance you can encounter Phantump at night, the expected time for Ghost-type Pokémon to appear, but Phantump is relatively rare or wait for another Halloween event to come around as during this time the spawn rate of all Ghost-type Pokémon increases, making it easier to discover Phantump.

Once you catch Phantump to evolve into Trevenant, you will need 200 Phantump candy or trade it with a friend. However, you can only trade with a nearby friend and not remotely and both you and your friend will need to pay Stardust.
