Despite being released as far back as 2014, EA’s The Sims 4 is still reigning on as one of the most popular simulation games of today. The game has garnered millions of players on multiple platforms that keep coming back to live and explore new things with their respective Sims.

However, a lot of players have found it a bit frustrating how they’re unable to adjust items on their lot once they’re out of reach in the game. Luckily, TwistedMexi has released a TOOL Mod which allows players to adjust their lot anyhow they like. So in this guide, we’ll be showing you how to install and use T.O.O.L Mod in Sims 4.

How to Install and use T.O.O.L Mod in Sims 4

To install the mod, you’ll have to visit the Mod Patreon page. And although Patreon pages usually require users to pay money before getting access to whatever it is they’re paying to access, TwistedMexi has listed the Sims 4 mod for free, which means you don’t have to pay a dime.

So to install the TOOL Mod, scroll down to the bottom of the mod page and you’ll find the file named TwistedMexi’s TOOL v2.5.2 Official.zip. Download the .zip file, and open it to access the content inside. Now deaf the files from the .zip file to your Sims 4 Mods folder in documents which should be something like This PC>Document>Electronic Arts>The Sims 4>Mods and paste it there.

Now refresh your PC and open The Sims 4. Be sure to have all mods enabled from the Game Options and if you’ve just turned on mods in the game’s settings menu, make sure to ’save the choice’ and restart the game. Once you’ve done that, you should be able to play the game with the TwistedMexi mod and move your items however you please.

Using the T.O.O.L Mod in Sims 4

The TOOL mode means Take Objects Off Lot. And although the game’s developers restrict the use of such mods, TwistedMexi’s Mod lets players move objects freely without an odd fence or tree getting in the way.

To use the mod, enter Build/Buy mode in the game and press Shift+T to activate the TOOL mode. Once activated, choose how you want to move the lot item and adjust as necessary.
