How to Live for a Long Time in BitLife

The secret to a long life in BitLife is, well, pretty much everything you would do in real life! You need to balance your social life and personal time with good work ethic. If you fall too much on one side, you put yourself at risk.

Thankfully, unlike real life, you have an indicator of your overall health at all times, shown at the bottom. The health meter is no joke – the second your health drops to 0%, your character is dead on the spot. We’ll explain everything that can decrease your health, and give you tips on how to maintain good health.

Address issues early on

First off, it’s important to keep an eye on the meter at all times. Whenever you advance a year, check to see if it’s rising, staying the same, or dropping. Rising is obviously good, but if it’s staying the same, that doesn’t necessarily mean a bad thing. However, if it’s dropping, there’s something about your life that needs to be addressed.

The most common causes for this are health conditions of some sort. When you get concerning symptoms, the game is kind enough to notify you. You should see a doctor as soon as possible to take care of the problem. Always go with the reputable doctors, as the cheap ones can make your condition worse.

Don’t ignore symptoms, no matter how silly they seem. It’s better to be safe than sorry.

You also need to take care of your physical fitness. Practicing martial art, working out at the gym, or simply going for a nice walk are all great ways to keep your body in shape.

Don’t forget about your mental health, it’s just as important as your physical health. Your happiness stat doesn’t kill you right away if it drops to zero, but it will eventually if left untreated. When your happiness is low, you will start suffering from depression, which will make everything else much harder.

Get a companion

There are lots of ways to enrich your life! Try getting a furry friend to keep you company, or even better, find your soulmate. Not the romantic type? That’s fine, just spending time with friends and family is great for your mood as well. Picking up hobbies like gardening is helpful too!

Don’t stress!

Make sure not to overwork yourself. If you have a well-paying job, there’s a good chance it’s a very stressful job. You can check how much stress you’ve accumulated in the Occupation menu. If your stress is too high, you will start suffering from high blood pressure, which will eventually lead to heart failure!

Try a new job?

Adjust your work hours if necessary, or just find a new job if it’s too much of a hassle. It’s important to earn a lot of money in BitLife since you need it to do practically everything, but don’t kill yourself over a job.

Most important of all… enjoy life!

Finally, just try to live a peaceful and normal life. Try not to make any lasting enemies, as they might assault you with weapons! Just use common sense—don’t pursue crime, and if something seems too dangerous, don’t do it! You can die to the most random stuff in BitLife, so be cautious about everything.

That’s right, we were beheaded by a gorilla. Who would’ve thought?

Here’s one final tip: if you’re in a bind and your health is critically low, you can go to the emergency room for a small boost to your overall health. It’s a bit costly, but it’s worth it if you find yourself in a sticky situation.

That concludes our guide on how to live longer in BitLife. If you have any other tips or living a long, fulfilling life, let us know in the comments below!
