Need a lot of gold in your Minecraft: Bedrock Edition world? We could just show you how to find gold, but today we’ll show you something cooler! Did you know that you can automate the process by setting up a gold farm? We’ll show you how to make a gold farm in Minecraft: Bedrock Edition!
How to Make a Gold Farm
For this build, we’ll be following Minecraft YouTuber JC Playz’s latest gold farm schematic. The basic idea is to make a gigantic Nether portal to get a bunch of Zombified Piglins to spawn. Once the Zombified Piglins spawn in the overworld, they’ll fall down a long chute and die from fall damage, while a Hopper scoops up all the goodies.
The way this works is that the Nether Portal has a chance to spawn in a Zombified Piglin every time the Nether Portal itself breaks, but the Obsidian blocks don’t. In order to achieve this, you’ll need to set up an Observer system that constantly puts out water to break the portal, which is demonstrated in JC Playz’s video.
First, you’ll need to figure out which side mobs will spawn on the portal. This is done by constantly reigniting the portal with the help of the Observer water system until a Zombified Piglin spawns in. Take note of the side they spawn in, and then you’ll build the rest of the blueprint on that side.
Once you set up the automated Observer system, Zombified Piglins will constantly spawn due to the portal restarting itself repeatedly. They’ll drop the chute, die, and then your Hopper will collect lots of Gold Nuggets and Rotten Flesh.
