Trainers can set up a picnic table whenever they’re out and about, as long as the ground is flat enough. Walk up to your picnic table, then press the A button and select the Make Sandwich option to get started.
You can make your sandwich from a known recipe, or enter Creative Mode and build your own. The types of ingredients you use in your sandwich will determine what Meal Powers you get and how potent they are.

In the case of shiny Water type Pokémon, you’ll want to use Creative Mode and add the following ingredients, which will net you Sparkling, Title, and Encounter Power for Water types all at level 3:
- Cucumber x 1
- Salty Herba Mystica x 2

All normal fillings and spices can be purchased at Sure Cans, Deli Cioso, and Artisan Bakery, located at most major cities.
The Herba Mystica ingredients are found as rare drops from 5-star and above Tera Raids. 6-star Tera Raids can only be accessed once you finish the main story, and they have a higher chance to drop Herba Mystica.
