Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin

How to Make All Monsters Retreat in Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin

In Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin, your main goal throughout the game is not only to complete the main quest but also to find as many Monsties as you can. To do so, you need to find eggs, which can only be found in randomly generated dens found on all of the field maps. As such, there’s no telling which den will spawn at any given time.

Thankfully, Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin features a special gameplay mechanic that allows you to somewhat control which den can be spawned on the map. Here’s everything you need to know about this mechanic to take full advantage of it during the course of your adventure.

How to Make All Monsters Retreat in Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin

Making monsters retreat in Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin can be used to increase the chance of their dens appearing on the map. All you need to do is make them retreat, and then follow them as they run: if you are lucky, a den will appear, letting you obtain an egg for that particular monster species. The Nesting skill increases chances of dens appearing, so make sure to have it equipped on your Talisman or Armor if you are farming for eggs.

Below, you will find what you need to do specifically to make all of the game’s monsters retreat.
