How to Sprint in Fortnite

Mantling and sliding require knowledge of sprinting as well; not to mention, the first Boot Camp quest is to sprint, so let’s talk about it. The keybind for sprint should be indicated on the top-left of your screen. If your sprint key says “Unbound”, then head into the control settings to set the Sprint key.

After you’ve done that, all you need to do is sprint for 5 seconds, and voila! You’ve completed the first Boot Camp quest.

How to Mantle and Slide in Fortnite

Since building is now taken out from Fortnite in Chapter 3 Season 2, the newest mechanic, mantling, has turned into the most useful replacement for it, as it is the most effective way to make a quick getaway by gaining higher ground, navigating the map and all of the structures within it.

All you need to do in order to mantle is pressing and holding the Spacebar next to the ledge that you want to climb onto. You will know if it is possible for you to get onto the ledge if a portion of it is colored yellow. Sprint for three seconds, then mantle on a few ledges in order to complete the mission involving mantling.

Sliding was introduced in the first season of Chapter 3 itself, and performing it is as easy as pressing the crouch key while sprinting. All you need to do is slide for 20 metres to finish the final Boot Camp quest.
