Stardew Valley is a fantastic farm simulator game with tons of content for players to explore. However, like most games, you’ll eventually come to a plateau where you feel like you have nothing new to explore anymore. When that comes, you should strongly consider checking out Stardew Valley Expanded, a mod that adds tons of new content to your game. There are new crops, new villagers, quests, music, everything you could think of. Created by modder FlashShifter, this an excellent expansion on the original developer ConcernedApe’s work. One of the cutest new characters is Sophia, a girl who works at the Blue Moon Vineyard, and she’s of course single. This is how to marry Sophia in Stardew Valley.

In the game, the bachelors and bachelorettes have their own likes and dislikes, but there are some specific items that all of them will be happy to receive. When it comes to Sophia, she enjoys all of these things except the Rabbit’s Foot. Avoid giving that to her so you don’t lose any bond points with her. All of these other things are fine:
- Pearl
- Prismatic Shard
- Golden Pumpkin
- Magic Rock Candy
Sophia’s Loved And Hated Gifts
If you intend on courting Sophia, it is recommended to grow Fairy Roses, as those are one of her personal favorites. Normally these are only able to be grown in the Fall, but if you have the Greenhouse fixed, you can grow them anytime you want no matter what the season. To get the Greenhouse repaired, you need to complete all of the bundles for the Pantry in the Community Center ruins. These are Sophia’s other loved items:
- Puppyfish – Can be caught by the water under Shearwater Bridge
- Fairy Stone – Found in Frozen and Omni Geodes
- Grampleton Orange Chicken – Unlocks after doing her 6-heart event. You can only get this by purchasing it at the Saloon.
- Fairy Roses – Grown from Fairy Seeds
Sophia hates most beers, fish products, and anything slimy.
- Frog
- Kittyfish
- Starfish
- Void Eel
- Rusty Blade
- Beer
- Big Bark Burger
- Clownfish
- Mead
- Void Shard
- Frog Legs
- Void Pebble
- Pale Ale
- Void Salmon Sushi
- Butterfish
- King Salmon
- Minnow
Sophia’s Schedule
Sophia usually works in the Vineyards from 9 am to 4 pm and also lives there. Before starting work, she usually wakes up around 7:30 to have breakfast.
In the Winter when there’s no crops her schedule will be a little different. Instead of working every day, she will only work 3 days a week in the Vineyard, opting to spend this free off-season time shopping or working on her hobbies. She does these activities on the regular weekends as well, either catching up on her favorite or shopping in Pierre’s store.
When she moves in with you after getting married, she will keep her job at the Vineyard and basically keep the same schedule, having Winters totally off now.
How To Do Sophia’s Heart Events and Marriage
Like all the candidates, Sophia will have Heart events, or special little side stories that are unlocked when you reach certain heart milestones. Most of these can triggered just by entering the Vineyard, Town or Sophia’s room in the Vineyard. When you get to 8 hearts with her, you can enter into a romantic relationship, which will unlock 2 more hearts. At 10 hearts, you can propose to her with the Mermaid’s Pendant.
You can meet Sophia and the other characters by checking out the Stardew Valley Expanded mod today!
