How to Open All Doors in First and Second Kalpa in Shin Megami Tensei III Nocturne HD Remaster

Shin Megami Tensei III Nocturne HD Remaster features a lot of different dungeons to explore, the vast majority of them located inside the Vortex World that Tokyo has become at the start of the game. One of these dungeons, however, exists on a different plane altogether and, as such, it is way more complex than anything else in the game. This dungeon is called the Labyrinth of Amala.

While exploring this dungeon, which is divided into different areas named Kalpa, is not required to complete the game, there are plenty of useful items to find inside. Additionally, if you are aiming to get the game’s True Demon ending, you will have to complete it before the beginning of the endgame events.

Here’s how to open the doors located in the first two Kalpas.

How to Open All Doors in the First and Second Kalpa in Shin Megami Tensei III Nocturne HD Remaster

First Kalpa

There is only one locked door in the first Kalpa, and it is located in the eastern area of the dungeon. Inside this room are three Cache Cubes that include one Black Visor, required to access the Burial Chambers, one Deathstone, which can be used to fuse Fiends in the Cathedral of Shadows, and an Attack Mirror.

To open this door, you will need to find the Moon Key in the Second Kalpa. This key is found down a ladder behind an invisible door in the third basement level of the dungeon. To find it, check the eastern side of the biggest room in the area.

Second Kalpa

Before you can start exploring the Second Kalpa, you will have to defeat Daisojou and Hell Biker first and retrieve their Menorahs.

There are three doors to open in the Second Kalpa. The first one is located in the same area as the Moon Key, only that you need to head to the north of the big room in the area and then to the west of the corridor. Inside this room, you will find an ever-useful Deathstone.

The second door is also found on the third basement level of the Second Kalpa. Head into the northern corridor and then head to the east instead. Behind this door is a Burial Chamber that will let you fight Kaiwan and Ose again.

The third and final locked door in the Second Kalpa is located on the first basement level of the dungeon. This door is located in the eastern part of the level, in the southern part of the long corridor that functions as an intersection for the northern and southern mazes. With this door, you will be able to head to the floor above without having to complete the mazes again.
