You will be glad to know that Bandana Waddle Dee is indeed playable in Kirby and the Forgotten Land. Appearing as the second playable character during Co-Op mode, Bandana Waddle Dee brings his trademark spear combat to Kirby and the Forgotten Land, letting players multi-thrust and charge their spear through all of the baddies in the game.
How to Play as Bandana in Kirby and the Forgotten Land
In order to unlock Co-Op mode, players will have to complete the first stage, which is the tutorial. To then summon Bandana Waddle Dee as Player 2, while in any stage, press the + button and select ‘Play Co-Op’, which is when you will be prompted to connect to another controller, and voila! Player 2 can now play as Bandana Waddle Dee alongside Kirby!
Unlike Kirby, however, Bandana Waddle Dee cannot inhale enemies, acquire Copy Abilities, or use Mouthful Mode. That being said, he is still a powerful character with plenty of damaging moves, also possessing similar speed and floating capabilities of Kirby, which makes sure that he does not lag behind when the all-powerful Kirby is beside him.
Since Bandana Waddle Dee does not have the kind of combat prowess that Kirby does through inhaling enemies, Copy Abilities, and Mouthful Mode, Bandana Waddle Dee makes up for it by possessing a spear that he can use in a variety of ways to take of the enemies in his way. He can stab enemies with it, jump in the air and rain down spears onto his foes, throw it onto a ranged enemy, and more.
Bandana Waddle Dee can also play sort of a support role to Kirby during battle. When Kirby is in the midst of using specific Mouthful Modes, Bandana Waddle Dee is able to hold onto Kirby and chuck spears at enemies and obstacles as they pass, letting you work together to take down challenges in your path.
