Sonic Speed Simulator is the ultimate Sonic the Hedgehog experience in Roblox. The game features lots of cool worlds to explore with a superfast sense of speed, and anyone can pick up and play. To get started, head on over to the Roblox Sonic Speed Simulator page. You can also just search for the game’s name in the Roblox app, if you’re playing on your mobile device.

Let’s get you acclimated with the controls! If you’re playing on PC, press the space bar to jump. Press it again in midair to perform a homing attack. Pressing shift makes you spin dash by rolling into a ball, while holding it down charges it up for a more powerful spin dash. Your control scheme will be different if you’re playing on mobile, and the buttons will be laid out for you.

The first thing you’ll notice as you get into the game is that you’re moving incredibly slow. This is normal, as you’ll need to gain a few levels first to increase your speed. Walk forward, and you should see a row of glowing diamonds—these are Chaos Orbs, and they reward you with experience. The color of the Chaos Orb determines how much XP you get:

• White Chaos Orbs: Tiny amount of XP
• Blue Chaos Orbs: Small amount of XP
• Purple Chaos Orbs: Medium amount of XP
• Red Chaos Orbs: Large amount of XP
• Golden Chaos Orbs: Huge amount of XP

You’ll also earn XP for simply moving around, so do what Sonic does best and keep running! Eventually, you’ll level up, which increases your maximum speed and movement power. You’ll be able to accelerate faster and jump farther.

Now, you’re free to go wherever you want! You’ll earn experience naturally by running around exploring the world. Make sure to grab Rings too, as you can use those to buy special items you can equip for more XP and Rings. Near the spawn point, there’s a vending machine that accepts Rings. You get a random item from the vending machine, and each vending machine has its own set of items. Chaos and Trails increase the amount of XP and Rings you earn, so buy some when you have enough Rings!

If you want lots of Rings quickly, you’ll want to keep an eye out for Obby Rings. They look like giant Rings with words in them, so they’re hard to miss. They’ll take you to short obstacle courses with huge Ring prizes at the end. The best part is that you can repeat them after their six-hour cooldown passes for more Rings!

If you want lots of XP quickly, look for some Sky Rings floating around. They’re multicolored rings that have an XP bonus inside, and all you need to do to claim it is to go through the ring. You’ll probably have to level up a few times to get enough speed and power to make it through them, but they’re worth going after. Just like the Chaos Orbs and Rings, these will disappear once you collect them, but they’ll respawn, making them a great way to farm XP.

Whenever you’re ready, you can move onto a new world. You’ll first have to find the Obby that leads to the next world, but they’re usually sitting in plain sight. Once you clear the Obby, you’re given access to the next world, and you can warp between them using the big Rings.

Eventually, you’ll hit a level cap and the game informs you to perform a Rebirth. Rebirths will reset your current level back to 1, but you’ll earn some permanent XP multipliers, a bunch of Rings, and some other bonuses. Rebirth as soon as you’re able to, as the XP multiplier will help you get your levels back quickly.
