Guardian is one of the many classes to choose from in Black Desert Online. She is one of the few class that has an active shield. If you are someone who doesn’t care about mobility, instead, care about hard-hitting attacks, high defense, massive AoE damage – then the Guardian class is best for you. In this article, we will talk about how to play as the Guardian class in Black Desert Online.

Playing as the Guardian class in Black Desert Online

The Guardian is a class in Black Desert Online that excels at both offense and defense. The downside? slow attack speed, high animation time, low mobility.

When you ask someone, “How to play the Guardian Class in Black Desert Online?”, there always going to be at least two answers. One, a comical one, to play the Guardian class, simply select the Guardian class during the character creation phase.

The second answer is what many players look for. And that is – Guardian class pros and cons, should you go for the Guardian’s awakening or succession, and other similar types of questions.

Assuming that you are playing as the Guardian Class in Black Desert Online, the first and foremost goal should be to reach Level 56 and complete the Awakening quest Storm of Oblivion. I do not prefer Guardian’s succession over Awakening because the Awakening comes with a plethora of hard-hitting skills which are effective in a wide AoE.

Once you have completed your awakening quest. You will get a glaive-like weapon called Jordun(craft one).

Now let us talk about the skills you should be focusing after getting awakened.

Guardian Awakened

Post awakening, here are some of the skill that you should be upgrading to bring the most out of Guardian class.

  • Omua’s Blessing – The Guardian already has a good CRIT rate and general damage, with the Omua’s blessing buff, you get a whooping increase in CRIT rate(50%), Movement Speed(30%), Accuracy(15%), etc.
  • Neck Impaler – Good for 1 v 1.
  • Infernal Steps – Good for controlling crowds.
  • Flow: Suppress – Knocking enemies, dealing high damage with high CRIT rate.
