The Sims Freeplay also has a ton of career-related quests, and a lot of them require you to do specific actions. Today, we’ll show you how to practice making film in The Sims Freeplay!

The Sims Freeplay: Practicing Film Making

Before you can start dipping into the expressive world of acting, you’ll need to get your hands on a Movie Camera. This is a career item that can help you get better at acting, for the Sims that want to get into the movie industry. It looks like a handheld camera on a tripod.

You can purchase a Movie Camera from Promotions ‘R’ Us, located in the southwestern region of your neighborhood. You’ll need four sims in your neighborhood and 1,000 Simoleons to construct it.

Once you Promotions ‘R’ Us is ready to go, tap on it to browse their selection. You’ll see lots of career items on display, but what you want is the Movie Camera, which costs 2,000 Simoleons.

With your shiny new Movie Camera in hand, plop it down anywhere in your house, then select it and choose the option Practice Making Films. This will take three hours, so be prepared for a wait. That’s it—your Sim will now start practicing their acting skills.

Another way to do this is to go to a neighbor’s house that already has a Movie Camera, and use theirs. In fact, you actually need to do this specifically for one of the active tasks you’ll get later on.
