Dead By Daylight Mobile’s Prestige system arrived in 2019 in an update along with other features, such as ranking and a new map. The prestige system was already a feature within the PC and console versions of Dead By Daylight, so it was one addition many DBD Mobile players had been asking for. The Dead By Daylight Mobile devs finally introduced it to the game in October of 2019. Find out all about the prestige system in DBD Mobile, below.
How to Prestige Characters in DBD Mobile
Just like in the console and PC version of the game, a player is allowed to prestige a character once they have reached level 50. When at level 50, players are offered the chance to prestige the character. They can, of course, choose to keep the character as it is, and keep all perks and perk slots they have already unlocked. They can also choose to prestige the character and lose all the perks and perk slots unlocked, resetting the progress of the character to level 1.
Why Prestige a Character?
When a player prestiges a character, they gain a blood-stained cosmetic exclusive only to prestiged characters. They also get a I, II, or III icon for their character to show what level of prestige they have gained. This can be done to both Killers and Survivors.
What Happens to a Prestiged Character?
- All perks are lost
- All perk slots are reset to 1, ready to be unlocked again
- XP pool is reset
- Perk progression is reset
All teachable perks are still available for other characters, as a prestige only affects the character your are prestiging. The only thing you gain is the exclusive bloody cosmetic, with each prestige unlocking an extra piece of the cosmetic (up to prestige 3).
