What many players don’t know is that before they start playing, they should scan a QR code that was recently posted on the game’s official Twitter account (Japanese). Redeeming this code will grant in-game rewards, so you certainly don’t want to miss out on that!

Thing is, the process is a bit more complicated than it probably should be, but don’t worry. Below, you will find everything that you need to know about how to redeem the codes and claim your prize!

Getting the Splatoon 3 QR Code

Even though the code was posted on Twitter by the game’s official Japanese account, it’s been confirmed to work for other regions as well.

In order to redeem the code, you must first download the SplatNet3 app via the Nintendo Switch Online app. You can get the Nintendo Switch Online app from Google Play Store for Android devices or App Store if you are using an iOS device.

Once you’ve installed the app, log in with your Splatoon 3 Nintendo account and from the SplatNet3 app use the QR code reader which is located in the bottom right of your screen to redeem the code. If you did everything correctly, you’ll receive a message saying “Celebrating the launch of Splatoon 3”.

The next step is to open Splatoon 3 and navigate to Lobby Terminal which is located on the end of the city. Participate in an online standard match and once it’s over, head back to the terminal and select the option “Get Stuff”.

Hero Mode Rewards

If you choose to finish the single-player campaign (Hero Mode) in Splatoon 3 and take on everything it has to offer, it will give you several worthwhile prizes. Even though the Splatoon campaign is usually a delight to participate in, things have been elevated here and are worth checking out even if you are only there for the goodies.

In Splatoon 3’s Hero Mode, there are two different kinds of awards. While the remaining awards must be gained in the tough post-game DLC, the first set of prizes may be acquired by just finishing the main plot.

You will earn Hero Gear and a special Sticker to adorn your Locker after you successfully complete Hero Mode for the first time. After participating in at least one online battle, you may personalize your Locker. The rewards are the following:

  • Hero Boots Replica (Shoes)
