On your very first day, the tutorial will teach you the basics of the game and how to build. To start building, select the chair button in the bottom left corner. This will bring up the decoration and building interface. Decorating lets you place and rotate furniture, while building lets you add new rooms onto your café.

To build new spaces for your café, you need Material, the wooden plank resource. You begin the game with roughly 150 Material, so you can get started with a small but humble café. There are plenty of floors and walls to choose from, so pick the ones that resonate with you! Don’t worry if you change your mind later, as you can always use the delete command (the trash can icon), and your Material is refunded in full.

Once you’ve built the foundation for your café, it’s time to decorate! You start out with some grubby looking furniture, but they’ll have to do for now. Make sure to have chairs next to tables, otherwise it won’t count as a valid placement. Chairs and tables have their own coziness factors, so the higher quality furniture will make your customers happier.

You can purchase new furniture from the village store. Fabric is required to purchase new chairs and tables, while Jewels are needed for the fancier utilities. Vagabonds pay with Fabric, Punks will pay with Materials, and Artists pay with Jewels, so keep this in mind when you’re choosing which types of customers to attract.

To unlock more furniture selections, check out the Shrine. The Decoration and Service shrine will unlock more furniture options and bathroom upgrades, respectively. You’ll need to gather lots of Delight in order to unlock these projects, which is gained by making customers very happy.
