How to Slide in Outlast Trials

The Slide maneuver that has saved our lives in many horrifying encounters in the past Outlast games is now locked behind a new perk system in Outlast Trials called Prescriptions. In the wake of that, many new players struggle to perform Slide while playing in the different maps available in the game. 

Moreover, since the level design and the encounters require you to use the Slide maneuver to evade your pursuers, plenty of players want to know how to Slide in Outlast Trials. So, keep reading our guide as we outline everything you need to unlock and use Slide in Outlast Trials.

How to Slide in Outlast Trials

In Outlast Trials, you can Slide in the game by pressing the Crouch action button while sprinting. Though as we mentioned earlier, the ability to perform the Slide maneuver in the game is not available from the get-go. 

To get the ability to perform Slide in Outlast Trials, you must unlock it from the Tier 1 Prescriptions perk system by speaking to Nurse Barlow at the Pharmacy located in the corridor on the left side of the main exit area.

For this, you must be at Therapy Level 3 or more to get the Slide ability, as you need to be at least Level 3 to unlock the Prescriptions perk system in Outlast Trials.

Once you have the Slide ability unlocked, hop into a match, and you can use the Slide maneuver by pressing the crouch button while running. There is no cooldown, nor do you have to equip it from any sort of in-game menu.
