How to Summon and Defeat Eater of Worlds in Terraria

The Pre-Hardmode in Terraria features some nasty-looking bosses. The Eater of Worlds is essentially a brown segmented worm found in the Crimson worlds. It’s not an optional boss, so there’s no way you can avoid this creature.

Eater of Worlds is a medium-level boss. This means that the battle won’t be too tough and neither too easy. You will need the right weapon and gear to beat the Eater of Worlds.

Terraria Boss Guide: Summoning and Defeating Eater of Worlds

There are two ways to summon the Eater of Worlds. The easier way is to smash three Shadow Orbs and get going. The other alternative is to use Worm Food to summon the boss. The Eater of Worlds shows up at any time of the day.

To make Worm Food, you will need 30 Vile Powder and 10 Rotten Chunks. You will have to place the Worm Food while you are inside the Corruption biome to spawn the boss.

The head of the boss does the most damage but it’s also the weakest. So you might want to target the head with a piercing weapon. The Vilethorn is a foolproof weapon in all the modes. You can also use Waterbolt, Grenades, Whips, or any other fast-moving melee weapon.

The Eater of Worlds is often farmed for valuable drops like Demonite Ore, Shadow Scale, Eater’s Bone, and much more.
