The new POI arrived in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2 and it has quickly become the most popular drop! This means it is currently a particularly deadly location to loot up, so how would players survive landing at The Collider? Below are some helpful hints and tips to get you in, around, and out of this battleground.
Surviving at The Collider
The Collider is the site of the Imagined Order’s Doomsday Device, surrounded by IO buildings full of loot and IO guards. Huntmaster Saber stalks the lower area, waiting to battle with whoever he comes across. The IO guards and the big boss are tough enough to deal with, but as this is a new location, loads of players are also visiting, so you will have to watch your back.

First thing to do is to land near a chest or weapon ASAP. The quicker you are armed, the more chances you have of surviving. There are IO chests and launch pads located around the device itself. Launch pads are great for getting from one section to another. The device also has vents around it (like the Mighty Monument) that launch players upwards, helping anyone needing to glide away.
In the buildings surrounding the Doomsday Device, there are Jetpacks, IO chests, regular chests, floor loot, ammo boxes, and red toolboxes. Grab a jetpack if you find one as they can prove pretty useful for moving around during a fight.
If you can avoid IO guards, the IO chests are a great place to loot up fast as they usually contain a good selection of weaponry and meds.
Once you have a weapon or two, it should be pretty easy to take out a couple opponents, and an IO guard who crosses your path. When you are ready to leave or need a quick getaway, there are Siege Cannons dotted about that you can jump in and launch away.
To conclude, the best way to survive landing at The Collider is to land directly onto a weapon or chest, grab a Jetpack, and keep moving from one point to another. When exploring, take note of the positions of all Launch Pads and Siege Cannons for future use.
Good luck!
