Back in June 2020, Animal Crossing: New Horizons received a free Summer update that introduced plenty of Summer-inspired content to the game and brought back a feature that made its debut in Animal Crossing: New Leaf: swimming and diving.

While the feature is extremely welcome, swimming at the regular speed can be quite frustrating. Here’s how to swim faster to make your search for Sea Creatures more enjoyable.

How to Swim Faster in Animal Crossing: New Horizons

Swimming faster in Animal Crossing: New Horizons is extremely simple to do. There are multiple methods, but only one of them lets you swim at the fastest possible speed.

To swim faster, all you need to do after diving into the sea is press the A button. You can either press and hold the A button to swim at a speed faster than the regular speed, or press the A button repeatedly. Using the latter method is the only way to swim at the fastest speed possible, which will definitely make searching for sea creatures considerably more enjoyable.

While it’s true that Animal Crossing: New Horizons is a game that should be played slowly, it’s undeniable that playing a game too slowly can become a chore, so get ready to mash that A button to have a much better time exploring the sea!
