Monster Rancher 1 & 2 DX

How to Unlock Centaur in Monster Rancher 2 DX

Monster Rancher 2 DX, like its predecessor, features tons of different monster breeds that can be generated using the unique CD generation system, but not all breeds are available from the start. The most interesting, and the strongest, have to be unlocked first.

Among these unlockable breeds is the Centaur breed. Here’s how to unlock it.

How to Unlock Centaur in Monster Rancher 2 DX

Before you can unlock the Centaur breed, you will need to make a bit of progress in the game, as you will need to obtain an item first, the Spear, and to get it, you will need to win a certain tournament and have one monster at a certain rank.

To get the Spear, you will need to send a rank B monster to the Mandy Errantry from March until August, where the Spear is located. To be able to go to this Errantry, you will first have to complete the first Kawrea expedition, which is available in the first week of June if you have won the Rank B Official IMa Tournament, and have a monster with 50 Fame and rank D or higher.

Once your monster has recovered the Spear, you will fight a Centaur back at the ranch. No matter if you win or lose, the Centaur breed will be unlocked, and you will be able to generate a Centaur monster if you combine any two monsters and use the Spear as an item.
