Monster Rancher 2 DX features a lot of different breeds, but not all of them are created equal in the game. Not only some of them are much stronger than others, but some are also considerably more difficult to unlock.

Among these hard breeds to unlock is Durahan. Here’s everything you need to do so.

How to Unlock Durahan in Monster Rancher 2 DX

Before you can unlock the Durahan breed in Monster Rancher 2 DX, you will first have to obtain the Old Sheath item. This item can only be obtained from the Parepare Jungle Expedition, which is unlocked once the first Kawrea Expedition has been completed and once a Monster reaches Rank C, has 50 Fame, and 140 Life. If these requirements have been met, you will get an invitation to the expedition on the first week of October. To find the Old Sheat, you will need to send a monster with high intelligence, as the higher this stat is, the higher are chances of finding items during any expedition.

After obtaining the Old Sheet, you will need to go to the Item Shop, where you will learn about someone stealing swords in the Parepare region. Once this is done, get one of your monsters to Rank A, and you will be invited to a special tournament in February, which you will have to win to get the Double-edged Sword. Use the item when combining two monsters, and you will unlock the Durahan breed.
