Monster Rancher 1 & 2 DX

How to Unlock Jill in Monster Rancher 2 DX

Monster Rancher 2 DX features a ton of different monster breeds right from the start, but the game doesn’t give all of the available breeds for free at the start, as some of the most interesting ones need to be unlocked by accomplishing certain feats.

Among the unlockable breeds in the game is the Jill breed. Here’s everything you need to know to unlock it.

How to Unlock Jill in Monster Rancher 2 DX

Unlocking the Jill breed is considerably easier than unlocking some of the other breeds in Monster Rancher 2 DX, although you will still have to put in some work.

To unlock the Jill breed, you will first need to embark on the Torles expedition, which is unlocked after reaching Breeder Rank 6 and finishing the first Kawrea Expedition. Send a monster that has attained Rank C or higher and has over 500 Intelligence, as you will need to find a special item, the Big Footstep. This item is located to the top right of the map, in the area with the big snowman, and the higher your monster’s intelligence is, the higher will be the chances of finding the item.

Once you find the Big Footstep, you can now face the Errantry Monster Bighand in the Sharp Errantry. Make sure to send a powerful monster that is at least at Rank B, since you need to defeat Bighand to get the Big Boots item. Use it when combining two monsters and you will unlock the Jill breed for good.
