How to unlock Metalner in Monster Rancher 2 DX

Monster Rancher 2 DX, just like its predecessor, features a variety of different monster breeds, but the best ones won’t be available from the start of the game, as you will need to unlock them first by fulfilling a variety of conditions. While having to put so much effort can be a little frustrating, the power of the unlockable breeds more than make up for it.

Here’s how to unlock the Metalner breed as quickly as possible.

How to unlock Metalner in Monster Rancher 2 DX

Unlike some of the other breeds included in Monster Rancher 2 DX, unlocking the Metalner breed is not too complicated. Unfortunately, it will take some time for you to be able to unlock it, as you will have to make quite a bit of progress in the game and achieve a relatively high Breeder Rank.

To unlock Metalner, you will need to reach Breeder Rank 8, which is done by winning a lot of competitions, and get to year 1010. If you have a B rank monster, you will be visited during the Fall by aliens who will give you a special item, a crystal.

Once you are visited by aliens and obtained the crystal, head to the Shrine and the Metalner breed will become available for monster generation.
