When writing this article, we have 35 Heroes in Overwatch 2. Among them, 19 Heroes get unlocked by completing Hero Challenges, which, as said earlier, are comprised of playing matches. One Hero, Kiriko, is unlocked through the game’s Battle Pass, and the remaining 15 are available from the get-go.
You must keep this in mind! This is not the case with players who bought and played the original Overwatch. They get access to the different game modes and Heroes earlier than new players jumping into Overwatch through Overwatch 2 for the first time.
