How to Unlock Super Sonic in Sonic Colors: Ultimate

Super Sonic has become a staple feature in Sonic the Hedgehog games since the release of Sonic the Hedgehog 2, so it shouldn’t surprise anyone that he is back, and stronger than ever before, in Sonic Colors: Ultimate. Unlocking him, however, will not be easy, as only true masters of the game will be able to do so without spending tens of hours exploring the game’s many stages.

How to Unlock Super Sonic in Sonic Colors: Ultimate

Unlocking Super Sonic in Sonic Colors: Ultimate is the game’s ultimate challenge. Like in past games, you will need to collect the seven Chaos Emeralds and, to do so, you will need to complete the optional stages found in the Game Land’s Sonic Simulator, which can be accessed at any time from the world map.

At the start of the game, you will only be able to access the first act of each of the seven worlds inside the simulator, but you will have to complete all three acts in them to get a corresponding Chaos Emerald. To unlock the additional acts, you will have to collect all of the Red Rings found in the regular stages, for a total of 180 Red Rings. A gargantuan task that is, however, well worth the effort, as Super Sonic cannot be damaged and has unlimited boost capabilities, essentially allowing you to breeze through any of the game’s stages.
