How to Unlock The Master Cycle Zero in Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity

Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity may not feature as many characters as the Warriors series’ games usually do, but the lineup is so diverse that it does not really matter. With different weapons that change what the character can do, it definitely doesn’t feel like there aren’t enough characters.

And yet, developer Omega Force must have felt that there wasn’t enough variety, as it has recently added some new weapons to the game, including the now-iconic Master Cycle Zero bike. Here’s how to unlock it.

How to Unlock the Master Cycle Zero in Hyrule Warriors Age of Calamity

Before you are able to unlock the Master Cycle Zero, you will have to purchase the Expansion Pass for Hyrule Warriors Age of Calamity, as it is part of the new content included in the first part of the expansion.

Once you have purchased the Expansion Pass, you will find some new requests and challenges at the EX Royal Ancient Lab. This lab is the main hub for all the new additional content, which includes improved stats for runes, new weapons, expanded weapon slots, and more. All the new content, however, has to be unlocked by completing the new EX quests.

As you clear these quests, you will unlock new nodes in the network that will reward you with new content. To unlock the Master Cycle Zero, you have to follow the path in the network that leads to Top Secret Request. If you have completed the game already, it is likely you will have no trouble unlocking most nodes, as the materials needed to do so can be obtained in the main game.

Who Can Use the Master Cycle Zero?

The Master Cycle Zero is a weapon that is exclusive to Zelda, so no other character can use it in Hyrule Warriors Age of Calamity. If you really need to see Link ride this bike into the Hyrule sunset, you will have to purchase The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and its final expansion, The Champions’ Ballad.

How Many Versions of the Master Cycle Zero Are There?

There are three different versions of the Master Cycle Zero in Hyrule Warriors Age of Calamity. The Master Cycle Zero is the standard bike that appeared in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, sporting balanced performance that works great most of the time.

The second version of the bike is the Master Cycle Sentinel, an improved version of the vehicle that favors stability and rider safety.

The third and final version of the Master Cycle Zero is the Master Cycle Hunter, a bike featuring an aggressive design and that is better suited for combat.

How to Use the Master Cycle Zero

The Master Cycle Zero behaves like any other weapon in the game, as it can unleash different combos by pressing the Y and X buttons, a dodge maneuver with the B button, and a super powerful special moves with the A button. The Rune Abilities, on the other hand, all behave slightly differently than usual and are generally better and much flashier.

The only ability that sets the Master Cycle Zero apart from the other weapons for Zelda is the Overdrive ability. Activated by pressing ZR, this ability increases speed and attack for as long as it is active. Do not abuse it, however, as the bike can overheat and you will have no choice other than wait for a long cooldown timer.
