How To Unlock The True Ending In Bravely Default II

Before you can unlock the secret ending and then the true ending, you will need to obtain all of the 12 Asterisks, including the three optional ones – Gambler, Salve-Maker, and Bravebearer. The first two can be obtained fairly early in the game, while the third requires you to complete the game once first.

Once you have loaded the clear save data and unlocked the Bravebearer Job, you will have to get back to the save point before the final boss. Here, you will be asked if you are ready for the final fight: say yes, fight the boss and watch the secret ending.

Now, you are ready to unlock the true ending. Load the new clear save file you have created after watching the secret ending. You will find yourself at the Font of Knowledge. Fight the true final boss to unlock the true ending and see the real conclusion of the story.
