Shovel Knight: Pocket Dungeon

How to Unlock the True Ending in Shovel Knight Pocket Dungeon

Your main goal in Shovel Knight Pocket Dungeon’s Adventure Mode is to get to the final area of the game to defeat the Puzzle Knight, but once you do this the first time, it’s clear how there is more to be discovered, as someone is seemingly pulling the Puzzle Knight’s strings and it is up to you to discover who it is.

To do so, you will have to fulfill a few conditions to unlock a new area with two boss fights that lead to the True Ending. Here’s how to do it.

How to Unlock the True Ending in Shovel Knight Pocket Dungeon

To unlock the True Ending in Shovel Knight Pocket Dungeon, you will have to obtain four Key Fragments from the Shrines you can access by entering the portals in Lick Yard, Chromatic Caverns, Stranded Ship, and Flying Machine. If you have set the stage order to random, the portals to the shrines will appear in the third, sixth, eighth and ninth stages.

To get the first Key Fragment, you will have to unlock the gate using three keys, so you should try to hold on to them as much as possible. The first few stages are easy enough for you to do without any major repercussions.

To get the second Key Fragment, you will have to give up some HP to the Shrinemaster. This condition can impact the remainder of your run considerably, so make sure to receive as little damage as possible before getting to this Shrine, and possibly have the Meal Ticket upgrade.

To get the third Key Fragment, you will need to give the Shrinemaster 20,000 gems. Given how high this requirement is, you will be pretty much forced to ignore all Relics in the previous stage to have enough to give to the Shrinemaster for this Key Fragment.

To get the fourth and final Key Fragment, you will simply have to defeat the Shrinemaster in an intense battle. If you got to this point, you will likely have a decent grasp of the game’s mechanics, so you will likely not have too much trouble taking him down and opening the way to the True Ending.
