How to Unlock Wolf Knight Class in Fire Emblem Engage – Class Guide

If you’ve ever tried to ride your dog as a little kid, then you’d know that pretty much all dogs don’t like having someone on their backs, because they weren’t made for that obviously. And it’s not just dogs, even wolfs don’t like being ridden but you can develop a solid bond with one that lets you ride it.

In Fire Emblem Engage, Wolf Knights are one of the Advanced Classes that you can easily identify on the battlefield thanks to the large white wolves they ride. These Wolf Knights also have an average raw strength but their full potential is seen during an assassination or camp destruction.

You can experience the class by recruiting Merrin as the character has Wolf Knight as her base class. It’s also worth adding that Wolf Knights are made up of three sub-classes ( Axe Wolf Knights, Sword Knights and Lance Wolf Knights) and are usually determined by the weapon the unit specializes in.

And since Wolf Knight is an Advanced Class in the game, any unit you want to use as Wolf Knight will need to have enough levels of a prerequisite class and weapon proficiencies. So below is what a unit needs to qualify for each type of Wolf Knight:

  • Axe Wolf Knights: Level 10 Sword, Lance, or Axe Cavalier, proficiencies in Axes and Knives
  • Sword Wolf Knights: Level 10 Sword, Lance, or Axe Cavalier, proficiencies in Swords and Knives
  • Lance Wolf Knights: Level 10 Sword, Lance, or Axe Cavalier, proficiencies in Lances and Knives

After acquiring all the units that meet the prerequisites, you’ll only need a Master Seal to promote them to a Wolf Knight. You can find Master Seals in treasure chests and they can also be dropped by characters in certain chapters of the game. And if you don’t want to go through the trouble of finding them, you can simply buy them from a store once you’ve reached Chapter 17 for 2,500 Gold.
