How to Unlock Zilla in Monster Rancher 2 DX

Monster Rancher 1 & 2 DX feature a lot of different monster breeds, but the best ones will have to be unlocked first. It’s usually not that complicated of a process, but it still requires some effort.

Here’s how to unlock a breed that made its debut in the original Monster Rancher 2, Zilla.

How to Unlock Zilla in Monster Rancher 2 DX

To unlock Zilla in Monster Rancher 2 DX, you will first need to get an item that can only be obtained once enough progress has been made in the game, the Zilla Beard.

To get the Zilla Beard item, you will need to have unlocked Undine and Niton, have reached Breeder Rank 6, have upgraded the stable at least once and have a B Rank monster or higher. Once all this has been accomplished, you will have to send a monster on an Errantry to the Torble Sea. Make sure to save your game before sending your monster out, as you are not guaranteed to get the Zilla Beard item every time you embark on this Errantry. The item is obtained after taking down the Zilla King, who will appear randomly at the end of the Errantry.

Once you obtain the Zilla Beard, use it when combining two monsters and you will unlock Zilla for good.
