How to Use Clairvoyance Perk

The Clairvoyance Perk is a Survivor Perk unique to Mikaela Reid. She unlocks the Teachable Variant once she reaches level 30. The in-game description for Clairvoyance is:

• There is an intrinsic energy in you that sees beyond your vision. Whenever you cleanse a Totem, Clairvoyance activates:
  • When empty-handed, press and hold the Active Ability button to unlock your full Aura-reading potential, allowing you to see the Auras of the Exit Gate Switches, Generators, Hooks, Chests, and the Hatch within 64 metres for 8/9/10 seconds.

Clairvoyance is a very powerful Survivor Perk, as it basically enables a Survivor to see practically every important item or object on the map. If something is out of range, all the Survivor needs to do is just do a sweep around the perimeter of the map to figure out where everything is.

Map intel and knowledge is the most important thing to have in Dead by Daylight, as knowing where all the key locales are can help you plan ahead. Knowing where all the Generators and Hooks are in particular is very important info to have, as you can get a general idea of where the Killer is going to be roaming around.

The only caveat to Clairvoyance is that you first need to cleanse a Totem before you can activate it. Because of this mechanic, it’s helpful to pair Clairvoyance with a Perk that lets you locate Totems more easily.
