In previous games, the Magmarizer item had a bit of a complex method when it came to using it. The Magmarizer was used as an evolutionary item of sorts, which had to be held by a Magmar, and then traded to another player in order for the Magmar to evolve into Magmortar.
Well, if you’ve played Pokemon Legends: Arceus at all, you would know that held items do not exist in the game. This makes the above mentioned method not applicable in Pokemon Legends: Arceus. While that is the case, the Magmarizer is still used to evolve Magmar into Magmortar.
In Pokemon Legends: Arceus, all you need to do is select the Magmarizer in your Satchel and then select which Pokemon in your party you want to use it on. Of course, only Magmar will be the Pokemon you are allowed to select, as it is the only Pokemon that evolves using the Magmarizer. That is all that you need to do in order to make full use of the Magmarizer in Pokemon Legends: Arceus!
Where to Find the Magmarizer in Pokemon Legends: Arceus?
The simplest way to obtain the Magmarizer is by heading to Jubilife Village and engaging with the Trading Post. You can exchange the Magmarizer for a measly 1,000 Merit Points, which, if you’ve done a bit of Satchel-hunting, should be a piece of cake for you.
Alternatively, you can visit the Gingko Guild Shop, also in Jubilife Village, and have a randomized chance to buy the Magmarizer, which is referred to as the Magma Box by Ginter, for 10,000 PokeDollars.
Lastly, and unfortunately the least, are the methods of using Space-Time Distortions and Ursaluna. There is a low, randomized chance you will come across a Magmarizer through either of these methods, which make them inferior to the previously-mentioned methods.
