In Clash Royale, you can create completely different decks of cards using the many cards available in the game. But unfortunately, some cards are so unpopular that many players know almost nothing about them. One of these cards is Mortar. Despite the unpopularity of this card, it has a lot of potential, and in this article, we will talk about how to use Mortar in the game.
How to Use Mortar in Clash Royale – Guide and Tips
Mortar is a building that costs 4 elixirs and is unlocked in the Builder’s Workshop arena.
This is not an easy card to use at all, which is why it is not so popular among players. But if you learn how to use it correctly, then it will show itself well even in the highest leagues.
This card can deal damage to enemy towers from a very long-range, allowing it to attack enemy towers even from the other side of the field.
This card also has its own unique blind spot mechanic. This is a small circle around this structure, and if enemies are within this circle, then Mortar will not be able to attack them.
How to Use Mortar
We advise you to use the special mechanics of the blind zone to the maximum. Because of this, Mortar can be great at helping to fight tanks, and more specifically, successfully killing support troops that usually hide behind tanks. After all, when a tank card enters the blind zone, it ceases to be the target of Mortar, and support troops become new targets.
Also, thanks to this ability, Mortar can continue to attack the enemy tower, even if there are troops like Hog Rider nearby. In this case, you need to protect Mortar with other cards.
It is also worth considering that Mortar projectiles attack in a radius. Therefore, sometimes it is beneficial to lure enemies to the enemy tower or use a Tornado so that during the Mortar attack, you not only attack the enemy tower but also kill several enemy warriors.
Tips to Use Mortar:
- We recommend placing Mortar 1 tile away from the bridge and 1/2 tile away from the side of the arena.
- When you are attacked by strong cards like 3 Musketeers, delay them with the help of a knight, so Mortar can kill them.
- Mortar, this is the card that forces the enemy to use all the elixir reserves to destroy it. Use this feature and start attacking another tower while the enemy is focused on Mortar.
- Never place Mortar on the side of the enemy.
- Never place Mortar next to towers.
Finally, we recommend using one of these decks if you want to play with the Mortar card.
