How to Use Old Maps in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom
When you have unlocked the Depths of Hyrule you will finally be able to use the Old Maps you have found. These maps will lead you to secret treasure only gained if you have the correct map to lead you to the chest. Crosses will appear on your Depths map, and as we all know ‘X’ marks the spot!
Every Old Map you get will reveal another secret chest location on your Depths of Hyrule map. To get to the treasure just get down in the Depths and follow the path to where X is marking your treasure. You can enter the Depths of Hyrule by entering red chasms found on your map.
Once you enter the Depths your treasure location is revealed to you automatically and you don’t have to do anything else. Hover over it and see it says ‘Spot Marked on an Old Map’. You will be in darkness so take something like a torch to get you through the Depths easier and find that treasure.
