Speed Booster in Metroid Dread is one of the abilities you are able to obtain in this game. It allows you to increase your character’s movement speed and use another ability called Shinespark. You will obtain Speed Booster in the early game.

In order to activate Speed Booster, you need to use the left thumbstick. Just click it and start to run in any direction. After you run for a short distance you will see your character glowing with blue light and moving faster. It means that Speed Booster was enabled. It will be interrupted if you try to jump or stop and change your direction. But, you are able to perform wall jumps that allow you to change direction without interrupting Speed Booster.
How to Use Shinespark in Metroid Dread
Shinespark in Metroid Dread is a special move that you can activate by storing the power of Speed Booster. When you use this ability, you need to move your left stick down and wait till your character will start to glow with purple light. After that, you will be able to hold the B button and choose any direction for Shinespark. The move allows you to perform a rocket dash in the designated direction. It damages anything that gets in your way and destroys some objects.
