The Grand Warden is a single-target unit unlocked at Town Hall level 11. He is the third hero in the game, being weak in physical strength and self-defense, but extremely powerful in support.
How to Use the Grand Warden in Clash of Clans
The Grand Warden spends some time regenerating his health if he is attacked when damaging an enemy village. If you attack a village while their Grand Warden is still regenerating, the Altar will be empty and the Grand Warden will not defend it.
Hero regeneration in the Home Village employs an “extra life” system: when fully regenerated, the Grand Warden possesses two “life bars,” each with health that is equal to his maximum hitpoints. The first life bar is depicted by the bar visible next to the Warden’s level, with the second represented by a heart placed at the end of the first life bar, with a “+1” when it turns full.
Deploy him behind the tanks like such as Golems, Giants, and Barbarian Kings to let him stay alive so his Life Aura will keep on supporting them. This is the reason he is never placed in the front of the army. Another way to use him is the Warden Walk. This is often used when the player uses Yeti Smash Attack. He can clear a corner and some troops clear another corner so that the main army will go through the middle. He is also very easy to control. Deploy troops inside his Aura and he will be drawn away.
If the Grand Warden is positioned properly, he can defeat an enemy Barbarian King and even an Archer Queen without even being attacked. In the case of an Archer Queen, it is much harder to pull off, as she has a bigger attack radius, has a quicker movement speed, and can attack from afar unlike the King.
