Hustle Castle Tips & Cheats for Beginners

If you decided to go medieval and installed My.com’s castle simulator, you’re probably looking for some Hustle Castle tips and tricks to get you started on the right foot. And that is exactly what we’re sharing in today’s article: a complete beginner’s guide!

Hustle Castle: Fantasy Kingdom (as this is the game’s full title) is very similar in concept with Fallout Shelter, another great game that we loved here at Touch Tap Play. But in Hustle Castle you have even more options and especially fights against baddies – while your characters don’t risk dying in the wilderness. All in all, a beautiful and highly addictive game indeed.

So let’s not waste any time and let’s check out below some Hustle Castle cheats and tips to get you started on the right foot!

How to speed up building/upgrade time
This trick is not well known yet, but extremely useful: if you send people to a room before starting the upgrade (or even afterwards), it will greatly reduce the amount of time required for the said upgrade. This works for all rooms, so make sure that you have the maximum number of people in there in order to optimize time.

Always use the best equipment
The equipment that your people wear is what makes or breaks your army. Sure, it matters for the other residents, but the soldiers matter the most and there are multiple things to have in mind when equipping them.

You should always use the best equipment – but in the campaign you should also look at the type of enemy you’re facing and adjust accordingly. For example, it’s better to bring splash damage weapons in some cases, while in others it might be better to go with more ranged units than melee ones in order to win.

So always look at the equipment you have, equip the best items for the character type (e.g. high health/armor clothes for tanks and high damage clothes for ranged units) and always keep some back-up in case you need different weapons to easily go through the campaigns.

Fill your castle with high star residents
New babies born in the living room borrow stats and rarity from their parents. This means that if you bring two 1-star residents in the living room, you will get a 1-star baby.

Since these are worthless, you will need to bring your best people in the living room and keep them busy until you have the best possible crew in your castle. This will require time, but here is how to do it:

1. First, mate residents without caring too much about star ratings until you fill your castle. Ideally, have 2 star and upwards people in the living room.

2. After filling up your castle, it’s time to be picky. Bring two of your highest star males in the living room (ideally 5 star ones). Rotate ladies there as one woman can get pregnant once per day.

3. Banish the low star members of your castle and keep trying until you have only 5 star ones. This will take time, but now that you have a system in place, it will take a lot less than randomly going about it.

How to banish people from the castle?
If you want to remove residents from your castle, you can do so. Simply tap a resident, then the hamburger menu near their name, and select the option, as seen in the picture below:

Always upgrade everything to the max
Each time you upgrade your Throne Room, you will get new construction options. Make sure that you build everything that’s possible, but the order is important too in order to keep you as solid as possible.

I recommend that you start upgrading your rooms with the Barracks and Training Ground first, then go for Dining Hall and Treasury, followed by Cellar and Vault. Switch the order if you have a lot of food/coins already.

Finally, it’s a good idea to start working on upgrades that take a lot of time (like 8 hours) before you go to sleep. This optimizes time even further and helps you progress as fast as possible, with little dead times in between.

Use as many resources before taking a break
The more resources you have in your castle when you are offline, the more chances you get of being attacked and losing them. Therefore, it’s a great idea to try to use as many resources as possible before logging out.

Also, make sure that you only open chests (especially resource chests) when you really need them. If you don’t need resources, keep the chests in your inventory as they can’t be stolen.

Hustle Castle Cheat #1: Reduce your rating
The lower your rating in PvP, the lower the chances of being attacked and losing. Therefor, you can cheat a little bit in order to reduce your rating and therefore increase your chances of defense success. There are two methods to do it:

1. The best way to do so is to use the revenge option after being attacked. Simply add one soldier (weakest soldier you have) into the barracks and remove all others. Start your revenge against the player that attacked you and you will most likely lose the battle, lowering your rating without any real losses.

2. You can also achieve this by simply attacking and intentionally losing (with a single soldier), but this also costs resources. However, it’s better than being plundered!

Hustle Castle Cheat #2: Create a second Facebook account
If you don’t have friends that are actively playing Hustle Castle, you can still cheat the system a little bit by creating a second Facebook account and linking it to a game. You can use one of your family members’ accounts as well (with permission).

Then use this to send and receive gifts. Also, you get a special chest for sending 10 gifts, which helps you a lot – so make sure you get there!

Join a solid clan
Being part of an active clan is extremely important as well, in order to reap on the benefits. Keep joining clans until your find one that is active and helps you progress – but don’t forget to also help your fellow clan members as well, or risk getting kicked out of an awesome clan!

Best troop setup for winning battles
There are different strategies when it comes to troop types to use in battle, but I have had the best results with the following approaches, depending on the number of slots I have in the squad:

3 slots: 2 tanks + archer in early game and campaign or 1 tank + 1 healer + 1 archer
4 slots: tank + healer + reviver + archer (or 2 tanks + healer and archer if you don’t have revivers)
5 slots: tank + healer + 2 revivers + archer (or go with two tanks and 1 reviver if you don’t have them)
