Lords Mobile developer IGG saw out 2021 by donating to another good cause – in this case, Make-A-Wish International. And it’s got a lot more planned for the year ahead too.
If Lords Mobile has somehow passed you by, IGG’s tower defence strategy MMO is one of the most successful mobile games on either the Google Play Store or the App Store, with more than 100 million downloads on Android alone.
But anyway, back to charity. IGG is one of the more philanthropically minded studios, having previously involved itself in many charitable projects.
In 2020, it ran a contest to design a castle skin as part of its Childhood Playground campaign. The winning design was sold through the Lords Mobile in-game store, with all proceeds going to Make-A-Wish International.
Earlier in 2021, IGG turned its attention to WeForest, supporting the reforestation of Ethiopia’s ailing Desa’a region with a special Earth Day pack.
And most recently, it worked with Make-A-Wish International, donating $120,000 via Lords Mobile. It was based on how many hearts players could collect in-game, and it was a success with the gaming community.
“We are very grateful to the IGG and Lords Mobile’s community for your support and generosity over the past few years. We are in awe of the community’s creativity in supporting Make-A-Wish. This generous support from the community has made it possible for us to accelerate our wish-granting and deliver life-changing experiences to more than 9,500 children waiting for their wishes.”, says Mr Luciano Manzo, President and CEO of Make-A-Wish® International.
To stay tuned for more news on our big 6th Anniversary celebration this February, just head to the Google Play Store, the App Store, or Steam to download Lords Mobile so you can get involved in any future events.
