Immortals Fenyx Rising

Immortals: Fenyx Rising Beginner’s Guide

Being an open-world game, Immortals: Fenyx Rising is absolutely massive, giving players the chance to explore a big world filled with secrets and treasures that are only waiting to be discovered. Like in every other open-world game, however, it is quite common to feel overwhelmed at the number of things to do right from the beginning of the game, which could lead to frustration if you are not prepared properly.

In this guide, we will go over a few useful tips and tricks for Immortals: Fenyx Rising that will help you better understand how the game works and how to tackle all the optional content without losing sight of your ultimate goal: save the Gods and restore the world to its original beauty!

Reach the Hall of the Gods

As soon as Fenyx gets off his or her boat, you are free to explore the world around you in search of treasure and side-quests. While the temptation to venture off the beaten path is strong, you should simply stick to the main quest until you get your wings and reach the Hall of the Gods. Once at the Hall, you will be able to access all of the upgrade options included in the game which should, in turn, help you set objectives for yourself outside of the main quests. Pretty much every ability can be improved in the game, so it is up to you if you want to focus on improving health or stamina or focus on collecting Coins of Charon to unlock new skills and Godly Powers.

Manage your Stamina

Stamina mechanics are among the most important mechanics seen in Immortals: Fenyx Rising. Stamina is not only used by skills and Godly powers but also during exploration, as it determines for how long you can run, glide with your wings and climb. During exploration, proper management is key to success, especially at the beginning of the game: always make sure to have a few Blue Mushrooms on hand to restore it when needed.

Fruits, Mushrooms and Potions

Pomegranates and Blue Mushrooms can be used for a quick health and stamina refill, but you should resort to using them only when you are out of potions. These potions, which are brewed by using cauldrons found in the Hall of the Gods and around the world, can also be enhanced for improved efficacy, so always make sure to stock on Pomegranates and Blue Mushrooms as much as you can to make potions. If you are having trouble finding Pomegranates, you should look for them on trees: shoot them with your bow or cut down the tree itself with your axe to collect them.

Essential Skills

While most skills available in the game are combat-oriented skills that can make fighting enemies quite fun, you should focus on getting skills that help you during exploration early on. Climb Leap lets you climb faster, while Glide Boost and Swim Dash make it easier to move around while gliding and swimming. Telekinesis Gathering is also a very good skill to learn early on as it lets you gather resources automatically within a certain radius.

Far Sight is Your Friend

Like in other open-world games, Fenyx is equipped with a special ability called Far Sight that lets the player locate places and objects of interest on the map. Given how many are there in the game, you should always make sure to use Far Sight when reaching high places like mountains and monumental statues to locate everything important in the surroundings. Your controller will vibrate when you’re close to discovering one, so make sure to keep track of the vibration to discover Ambrosia locations, Treasure Chests, Myth Challenges, and Pits of Tartaros. A good strategy to make the best out of your time is to scan with Far Sight in the general area of your next main quest objective so that you can collect treasure and complete challenges as you head towards the objective, clearing out anything you might have missed afterward.
