Immortals Fenyx Rising New Video Showcases Seven Different Areas

This article is over 4 years old and may contain outdated information

Immortals Fenyx Rising is among the biggest third-party titles releasing on Nintendo Switch in the next few weeks, and Ubisoft is doing all it can to show how the game is so much more than Breath of the Wild meets Assassin’s Creed.

A few hours ago, the good folks over at IGN shared a new video that showcases the game’s open world and its seven different areas. While the Greek mythology influence is evident, their design looks unique enough.

Immortals Fenyx Rising, originally known as Gods and Monsters, has been revealed last year, only to be revealed again earlier this month. The open-world game, developed by the team behind Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, will see players take on creatures like the Cyclops, Minotaur, and Medusa with the help of legendary items like the Bow of Odysseus.

The inclusion of the Winds of Daedalus are also very interesting, as they make the game almost feel like an unofficial successor to the Kid Icarus series, which shares many of the themes that will be seen in Immortals Fenyx Rising. While this doesn’t help the game from Ubisoft in standing out from the competition, all these classic games influences will definitely make the experience quite enjoyable.

Immortals Fenyx Rising will release on Nintendo Switch as well as on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Stadia on December 3rd.
