Indie Adventure Game Anodyne Launched for iPhone

This article is over 11 years old and may contain outdated information

If you are into retro styled adventure slash RPG games and you haven’t heard about Anodyne yet, you are in for a really pleasant surprise: the game has just been made available for purchase overt at iTunes and it will probably blow your socks off!

A game that makes you think of the original Zelda games, Anodyne has you explore and fight your way through nature, urban and abstract themed areas in the human Young’s subconscious, evoked by a 16-bit-era visual style and a moody, dream-like soundtrack. Sounds like something extremely psychedelic and exciting? It certainly is, all with that 16 bit flavor that makes a strong comeback these days!

Expect everything from good dialogue to strangely shaped monsters, old school battles and a final stage that seems impossible to complete (yet, it is doable!) and you will have enough reasons to give this game a try. And you should hurry too, because right now Anodyne is on sale at the special launch price of $2.99 before going for the full $4.99 price.

And in case the gameplay video under the title and the screenshots we have shared with you are not enough, you should know that Anodyne is already held in high regards by the PC community where the game was initially launched, so so many people can’t be all wrong! See for yourself by getting the game from iTunes.
