With the release of Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl on November 19, 2021, also came a bunch of questions, mysteries, and doubts that fans wanted answered.
One of the biggest questions are the kinds of legendaries available in the Pokemon BDSP games. Just how faithful are these remakes of Pokemon Diamond and Pearl, and will they include the legendaries that you could catch in Pokemon Platinum as well?
Most of all, people wanted to know if God, the Creator of the world of Pokemon — Arceus — would be available in the remakes.
Can you get Arceus in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl?
Here’s the funny part: what has been uncovered by a lot of players, is that Arceus was actually available to fight against and capture in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl originally.
This, however, was quickly taken out when the Day 1 patch of the game was released. So if you’re looking for a concrete answer, Arceus is currently not available in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl.
We say ‘currently’, because if the event to battle and catch Arceus was actually in the game before it got patched out, then they are obviously planning to bring it back at some point in the future.
A lot of fan theories are speculating that Arceus will be added into Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl through DLC, as a tie-in event with Pokemon Legends: Arceus. We can’t lie, that is quite the plausible theory, which just makes fans everywhere even more excited for the Legends: Arceus to come out.
One thing is surely confirmed though: Arceus will be coming soon to the Pokemon BDSP games. All we can do for now, is wait!
