No! Batman is not alive in Gotham Knights. During the game’s prologue, you will see Batman vs. Ra’s Al Ghul fight, where Batman dies at the end, leaving the mantle to protect Gotham City in the hands of his trusted Gotham Knights.

However, progressing through the game’s story, during the last mission, the League of Shadows and Talia Al Ghul brings Batman back to life using the Lazarus Pit with the hopes that he will help the antagonist group to take over Gotham and help them rule it.
But, you know, it’s Batman we are talking about. Even though he was brought back to the life of his own volition, he sacrifices himself to destroy the Lazarus Pit and the dark forces that threaten the peace of Gotham City all at once.
In the end, Batman dies again, this time for good, as there is no more Lazarus Pit to bring him back again. So, now you know that Gotham Knights story will ultimately kill Batman as the new franchise takes a totally different route than the previous Batman games.
