The answer to the most debatable and controversial question, “Is Clash of Clans being removed in 2022?” is an absolute no. In simple words, Clash of Clans is not being removed from the Android and iOS store anytime soon. As a result, the shutting down of COC were just baseless rumours and spreading like wildfire without any shreds of evidence.

As per a report by HITC, the rumours initially surfaced on social media handles, specifically on TikTok, which claimed that COC servers were shutting down in 2022. In fact, this isn’t the first time when such insensible rumours have emerged on the web.

Back in 2016, Anoushka, the part of the Supercell development team, disproved the rumours of servers shutdown and said in an official statement:

Clash of clans’ servers will be shutting down on February 29 or what not, is completely fake. In other words: no, Clash of Clans’ servers are not shutting down by the end of February.

However, the support for Clash of Clans is ending for iPhone and Android users running lower than iOS 11 and Android 5.0. This came to light when the Clash of Clans team announced on their official blog.

Due to technical reasons beyond Supercell’s control, the developers are unfortunately forced to end support for all Apple and Android devices running on OS versions lower than iOS 11 and Android 5.0, respectively. Therefore, update to iOS version 11 / Android 5.0 (or higher) as soon as possible to keep playing COC.
