Is Galaxy Team in Pokemon Legends Arceus Related to Team Galactic? – Answered

Pokemon Legends: Arceus is a prequel to the other Pokemon games, with the story exploring the days of the Hisui Region, before it became the Sinnoh Region. Players explore the land to discover and record the wild Pokemon living there, as part of the Survey Corps for the Galaxy Team. There are characters to meet and interact with, many of whom are familiar or are ancestors to characters in other Pokemon games. With all these connected threads and interwoven stories, it is no surprise that players will continue to discover more surprises. Some players are now asking whether the Galaxy Team in Pokemon Legends: Arceus is an early incarnation of Team Galactic of Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl.

Are the Galaxy Team and Team Galactic Connected?

Although not confirmed, it is almost certainly the case. This is not the first nod to Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl in Pokemon Legends: Arceus, either. There are characters within the game who belong to certain clans: Diamond Clan, Pearl Clan, and the Gingko Clan who travel as merchants through the region. Other callbacks to Diamond and Pearl includes Jubilife Village, an early version of Jubilife City, and let’s not forget the existence of Professor Rowan’s ancestor Commander Kamado.

Team Galactic is considered “the bad guys” in Diamond and Pearl, as they attempt to steal the Pokedex from Professor Rowan’s assistant. This would help them find special Pokemon and be able to harness their power, creating a new universe. But how are they linked to the Galaxy Team?

In Pokemon Legends: Arceus, there is a member of the Wardens of Hisui, sworn protectors of the powerful Noble Pokemon, and one of these wardens looks a lot like one of Team Galactic’s four commanders. It has also been noted that the Team Galactic logo looks strikingly similar to the Galaxy Team logo.

While none of these theories have been confirmed, they surely cannot all be coincidental. It is going to be exciting to find out all the twists and turns of the story as we play!
