One of the exciting new maps in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II is the infamous Shoot House, the popular map from the first Call of Duty: Modern Warfare reboot. This time around, it’s been slightly tweaked to give players more options. Today, we’ll answer the question: Is Shoot House game mode free in MW2?
Can you Play Shoot House in MW2 for Free?
Shoot House has been added into Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II as part of the Season One roadmap updates. This map features a small field full of broken cars, run-down buildings, rusty shipping containers—all you need for a great shootout.
It’s a little confusing, because Shoot House is actually a map, but the developers also made a whole game mode based on it. In the Shoot House game mode, you’ll play through different modes like Team Deathmatch, Hardpoint, Domination, and so forth, always on the Shoot House map.
With that said, we hate to be the bearer of bad news, but unfortunately the Shoot House game mode is not free to all players. If you downloaded the free Warzone 2.0 version of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II, you will only have access to the Warzone game mode, plus a few additional others, like the new DMZ mode.
For future reference, you can easily tell if a game mode is free to all players if it has the blue “free to play” tag on it. Keep an eye out for this tag if you’re wondering whether you can play a certain mode with the free version of MW2.

Attempting to play the Shoot House mode will result in the game telling you that you are missing a multiplayer DLC pack. In this case, it’s the entire game, so you’ll need to fork over 69.99 USD for the full version if you want to play the Shoot House mode.
We hope that answers your questions about whether Shoot House game mode is free in MW2. If you have any other questions about the game, let us know in the comments below! Thank you for reading!
