Does Tape to Tape run on the Steam Deck?

As of writing, Tape to Tape is still considered to be in early access, so the game is under heavy development. If you view Tape to Tape’s Steam store page website, you might notice there is no rating for Steam Deck verification.

Likewise, if you view the game in your library on your Steam Deck, the verification rating is currently unknown. By Steam’s definition, this means that there is not enough performance data recorded yet, and the game may or may not run.

Despite the game lacking a Steam Deck verification badge, we are pleased to report that players on the Steam discussion forums have stated that the game works fine on the Steam Deck. Most players are able to launch and run the game well on their Steam Decks, with no intense modifications required.

There are some players reporting controller issues and a bit of frame stuttering, but small issues like these are to be expected when the game has not been optimized for the Steam Deck yet. Thankfully, the developers have already responded to certain discussion posts about working on getting the game Steam Deck verified.

If you own both Tape to Tape and a Steam Deck, try it out for yourself and see how it runs for you. You can probably help the verification process too by reporting any issues you have running the game on your Steam Deck to the developers.
